Let Your Accessories Own the Look
I cannot stop looking at the yellow paired with this outfit! I enjoy surprising myself when it comes to styling an outfit. I had already been excited about wearing this off the shoulder flared top and I hadn't realized the statement piece would be stolen by the accessories. It isn't always about the fabric or the top or the pants here.
I have been neglecting my accessories for sure! I had forgotten how valuable these can be. You can be wearing the simplest of outfits and with some statement shoes, necklace, or hair piece you can make your outfit a fashionable statement. As you can see, the yellow heels and cross body bag is owning this outfit. I don't say this because I'm wearing it but simply my eyes are glued to the pop of color! I should just call myself the color queen at this point! Well that's besides the point, the point is that accessories do go a long way, on those lazy days where you believe there is no time or effort to go through your closet to style, you can still style with a colorful accessory or accessories. Something as simple as colorful shoes, a hat, or that piece of jewelry fishing for compliments, just throw it on!
Yellow is such an easy color to make any look stand out, but it definitely works when it's so close to blue's complimentary color, orange. Yes, of course I use the color wheel . It comes in handy, especially when you are not sure of what colors would look good with each other.
All I'm saying is, it wouldn't hurt to throw on a piece of accessory because just like me, you may surprise yourself.
