New York Is Always A Great Idea
Indeed it is. New York is a place full of fashion statements, christmas spirit, and people. This was actually my first time going out to New York City and I was really excited! I look up to many fashion bloggers who's dreams started in New York and it's fantastic to just be there so up and personal. Now I know I make it sound like it's dream land but in a way it kind of is. I mean I grew up watching Sex and the City and my were those fun stories and those girls knew how to dress! Whenever I saw Carrie Bradshaw walking down the street with her fierce look and walking in heels as if they were flats I pictured myself walking through the streets of New York. Being part of my dream.
Tatiana and I decided it would be a great idea to go to New York City during this time of year because the holiday spirit is so alive and theres so many things to see and do. So that is what we decided to do!
While we were in New York we stayed in a hotel right off the corner of Times Sq which was magnificent. We did a lot for just a weekend that we stayed over and of course whats New York without a photo-shoot? …
There was this random teal wall on Times Sq that of course caught my eye, teal being my favorite color. It was a fun experience taking photos in Times Sq because if you have been it is crowded. Many people are walking around and it was a surprise we got a couple of good secluded pictures while we were in the middle of the whole chaos.
Something I really did want to see was the LOVE Sculpture! I have seen so many pictures of it that I just had to see it. Although it is such a touristy thing to do but hey! I was a tourist that weekend ha!
Has anyone ever been to Top of the Rock?! If you have , what an amazing view ! If you haven't, you might as well start planning your NY trip now. It really is such a beautiful view to see the city at night full of lights. Although it was very cold it was a well worth sight.
Next… we decided to hit Soho, a very cute shopping area and also a lovely place for our fashion shoot.
Finally after having an amazing productive NY trip… we are caught with a not so amazing surprise but funny at the same time. Tatiana and I are all packed up and ready to head out to Boston when we get to the terminal we realize Tatiana had bought a bus ticket for 7am instead of 7pm ! :O It was 6:30 and we ran to change the ticket. We were nervous that if there were no more 7pm tickets available we would head back to Boston really late which was not part of our plans. Luckily we found a 7:15 ticket available and I switched mines to not leave my best friend behind. But Pheww, what a way to end our NY trip huh? Perhaps NY didn't want us to leave haha!
